We’re delighted to welcome Rachael James to BC SoftWear. As well as her considerable experience, Rachael brings her warmth and energy to our growing team, and we are looking forward to working with her.

A people person

Rachael has worked in the sales and account management sector for the last 20 years.

Whilst her background was predominantly around IT and electronics, she has always been attracted to brands that offer something unique in their marketplace. She is drawn to products she can feel passionate about, enabling her to build lasting customer relationships.

“I’m a committed worker, loyal and very much a people person.

"I’m a great believer that people buy from people. Yes, you can have a unique and genuine offering, but you need to build and gain a relationship of trust with your customers to remain successful.”

Take That! – memorable moments

Rachael has had her fair share of special moments in her working life, with some that certainly lit her fire!

“Being part of some wonderful, large companies has meant that I’ve been lucky enough to attend lovely events at memorable venues.

"One I will always remember was a Comic Relief Ball – I actually shook Gary Barlow’s hand!

"I’m thrilled that my new role with BC SoftWear means that I’ll be in the fascinating world of hospitality – drawing on the inspiration of luxurious venues.”

Work / life balance

Rachael enjoys the variety that her working life offers – and she clearly relishes a challenge.

“I’ve loved the challenges, but also the flexibility my role has offered me. A combination of working from home, from the office and out on the road, has allowed me to achieve that delicate balancing act of a working mum with two young children!”

Rachael was attracted to BC SoftWear for the same reasons many of our customers are – we are a family run business and this ethos extends through our employees to our customers.

“BC SoftWear and are experts in their field and have a superb reputation. I will be looking after hotel and spa customers – I am looking forward to getting to know our customers over the next few months.”

Hitting the ground running

For Rachael, hitting the ground running, means dusting off her cocktail dress.

“I’m excited about attending the Spa-Life International UK convention later this month. It will be wonderful to fully absorb myself in the industry, meet new people – and dust off a cocktail dress for the Gala Dinner!”

Home baking and crazy dog walking

Rachael’s spare time is as varied as her working life.

“I enjoy spending time with the children (even though I’m not as exciting as computer games!) and walking our crazy two-year-old Boxer with my fiancé.

I’m a real foodie, so eating out is always exciting, and I find baking at home really relaxing.”
